1. Q:What is the raw material of extruder cutting knife?

A:SK2 carbon tool steel. SK2 is a high carbon, low alloy steel, it is suitable for manufacturing tolls without shock loads, low speed cutting tools, cold work tooling, etc. Including turning tools, milling cutters, drilling bits, reamers, screw taps, screw dies, gauges, files. As far as knives are concerned, it can be used for all types, form small, high efficiency cutters to large, heavy duty knives, although officially SK2 is not a shock resistant steel, it can be heat treated for toughness, although I don't see a good reason for doing so, why not pick a designated shock resistant alloy instead. SK2 is not a high carbide volume alloy, so at high hardness it will benefit form thin, high polished edge.

2. Q:How to select the right extruder cutting knife and adjust it?

A:The selection of extruder cutting knife is decided by several factors like the hole size of discharging die plate, the formula, the finish product shape, discharging pressure and feeding speed etc.

Usually when the die plate hole size is less than 2.5mm, the soft cutting knife with thickness of 0.40-0.60mm should be chose as it is easy to adjust;

When the die plate hole size is more than 2.5mm, the soft cutting knife with thickness of 0.60-1.20mm should be chose because of the long duration for wearing.

When there is more fiber content like leather, hair, cotton etc. In the formula, the hard cutting knife should be used to shape the pellet better.

Special cutting angle is required to make hollow or alien pellets.

The rotating speed of cutting knife should be much faster than the pellet discharging speed. The faster the rotating speed of cutting knife is, the more uniform the pellet cutting section is. Without changing the length of pellet, the less the number of cutting knife is, the faster the line speed is.

for air mode, usually it will take 1-7 days from on-boarding to arrival at the airport;
