Market Comments and Concern
Corn/Maize
Corn price went slightly fluctuating today. Since the supply of new corn is going tight at the consumers’ end, the traders are willing to increase price and keep inventory. Meanwhile, the feed companies bought cereal like wheat to replace corn, hence the corn price surge would be limited. A massive supply of new corn from producing area was not watched. The market is expecting a higher price due to the crop failure, the farmers are reluctant to sell out. Meanwhile, the processors, traders and SINOGRAIN are rushing to buy new corn, therefore corn price was constantly lifted. It is expected that the corn price surge may be gradually eased till the end of October or the first half of November.
