Market Comments and Concern
Soybean Meal
With the continuous strike of workers in Argentina and drought weather in South America, the gloomy prospect of global soybean supply lead to the soar in overnight US soybean price, up to the record high since the past 6 and half years.
In China, some plants in Shandong Province etc. are required to shut down or restrict the production by environment protection regulation. With the approaching new year, the end users have stock demand. Besides, concerning on the pandemic, the massive stocking will be started earlier than ever, since the middle of January. As a result, the prompt soybean meal price soared today. It is predicted that generally the prompt soybean meal price will increase at the end of December. However, the market may turn slightly weak from the end of December, 2020 to the beginning of January, 2021. And the price is probably going to recover in the last half of January.
